WELCOME TO THE TOWN OF
Lakewood Village incorporated as a Type B - General Law Municipality on April 26, 1977 and changed to a Type A - General Law Municipality on March 13, 2008. Lakewood Village operates with a mayor–council style of municipal government.
Located on a peninsula of Lewisville Lake, Lakewood Village is conveniently connected to I35E and the North Dallas Tollway via the Eldorado Parkway Corroridor providing access to all the amenities that the Dallas / Ft. Worth Metroplex has to offer.
Exclusively zoned residential, our citizens enjoy one of the lowest tax rates in North Texas, which is considerably less than the rate of our surrounding communities. Although our tax rate is low, our citizens receive the highest quality service including municipal water and sewer (no aerobic systems) as well as the benefits of full-time professional Fire and EMS services.
In 2019, The International Dark-Sky Association designated Lakewood Village as the 23rd International Dark Sky Community in the world.
In 2021, the second phase of a $6.1M investment to rehablitate the Town's roads was completed.
